About Renee....

 

Renee Garcia is a costume designer and artist living in Saint Louis.

Renee's costume designs for As You Like It were selected for the USITT-USA National Exhibit in the 2015 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. The PQ is the world's largest performance design exhibition in the world, often compared to the Olympics or World's Fair for designers. Her designs were most recently displayed in the Vestuario a Escena MX, AC’s international exhibit, Exposición Vestuario para la Escena 2022, at the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City.

Renee has designed costumes for Moonstone Theatre Company, Lake Dillon 

Theatre Company, Charleston Stage Company, Brick Monkey Theater Ensemble, Open Waters Theater, Riverside Theater Shakespeare Festival, Unicorn Theater and Coterie Theater. 

 

Renee received a M.F.A. in Theatre Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She earned her BA in Theatre from Florida State University.  She is the Assistant Professor of Costume Design and head of the BFA Costume Design program in the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.
